It's a Long, Long Road illustrates the accomplishment of Cam Shaw-Doran, the first person in a wheelchair to conquer the steep Mount Washington Auto Road in New Hampshire. The large print and the oversized arm emphasize Doran's dominance over the mountain and his wheelchair. Worsham writes: “I never asked to become part of the world of disability, but I have been inspired by the courage I have found in my fellow journeymen. Though disability can limit so many aspects of your life, I believe it also holds the potential for greatness. I hope to use my art to celebrate that greatness with the world.”

Go Fast , 2006

Computer painting

After a diagnosis of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, Erin Brady Worsham slowly lost her ability to speak, move her body, and breathe independently. An accomplished artist prior to her diagnosis, Worsham now creates her work with the assistance of a computer connected to a tiny wire that is taped between her eyebrows. The wire tracks her facial movements and allows her to digitally create bold, graphic compositions about her life and work. Go Fast is a self-portrait—a vision of how adaptive skiing looks and feels. Worsham creates art in response to people's reactions to her disability and to demonstrate that her life remains full of fantastic possibilities.
